") // ") // Menu Home About Contact Us Documentation Resources South Central Kansas Library System Search SCKLS Digital Library Initiative SCKLS Digital Library Initiative The South Central Kansas Library System hosts a digital library platform for use by its member libraries. The startup was partially funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through an LSTA grant . With ongoing funding by SCKLS , this project provides training and support for participating public, school, academic and special libraries to create and maintain their own digital collections. The content of these collections may include text documents, letters or diaries, maps, photographs, audio and/or video files that reflect the history of an individual library and its community, or are of general historical interest. This project is growing , with additional SCKLS member libraries working on local projects. Documentation for these projects is available with Creative Commons licensing with attribution (CC BY 4.0) for others to freely use and modify for their own use. There are 147 members participating and eligible for grants and services. Membership and participation are voluntary and each member library retains its local self-government and independence. The mission of the South Central Kansas Library System is to assist member libraries to provide excellent service to their communities.
